The Procurement Office is pleased to announce the launch of RFx Drafter (Orbidder 2.0), our automated drafting control room. With the speed and precision of the original Orbidder drafting platform, our reboot includes the following updated features and functionality:
- Walkthrough Video: A full video walkthrough of the RFx Drafter platform, providing potential and current RFx Drafter subscribers an overview of the drafting platform and a learning tool to augment their training and onboarding of users. View it here.
- Support Site Overhaul: The support site has been redesigned to allow for quick searching, empowering users to troubleshoot without requiring further assistance. The same responsive ticketing system that was in place before is still available if users find they need further assistance. View it here.
- How-To Videos: As part of the support site overhaul, how-to videos are available for discrete RFx Drafter functionalities, including how to initiate a project, how to assign a procurement lead and drafters, how to draft and generate projects, how to generate a project-specific procurement notice, and how to access organization-wide and project-specific metrics reports. View them here.
- Archiving Issued Projects: Projects that have been marked as Issued can now be archived by Heads of Procurement and Procurement Leads, allowing organizations to clean up cluttered Dashboards to ensure focus on projects that are currently being drafted instead of those that are already posted.
- Generating Project Drafts: Heads of Procurement and Procurement Leads are now able to generate a draft for review in Word without having to mark all of the Drafting fields as ‘Completed’. RFx Drafter also provides Heads of Procurement and Procurement Leads with a history of previously generated drafts that they are able to download and review.
- Jumping to Specific Project Detail Steps: Once a project has been confirmed, Heads of Procurement and Procurement Leads can now jump to a specific step when reviewing project set-up, streamlining the process to update Deliverable categories or switch RFX processes without having to move through all of the project set-up steps.
- Project-Specific Observer Role: Heads of Procurement and Procurement Leads can now assign project-specific observers to projects, allowing consultants, subject-matter experts, executives, end-clients, or other users the ability to view the set-up and drafting of projects without being able to edit any of the details. An unlimited number of project-specific observers can be assigned to any given project.
- Drafting Section Assignment Notification Streamlining: Previously, RFx Drafter would send out a notification for each drafting field assigned, leading to some Drafters receiving multiple emails per project. Now, RFx Drafter only sends out one notification per project the Drafter has been assigned to, regardless of the number of drafting fields that have been assigned, reducing the extra traffic in already overwhelmed inboxes.
