CITT 25th Anniversary Review – Part II: Fair Dealing Under the Trade Treaties

In part two of a two-part series commemorating the passage of the Canada-EU Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement and the 25th anniversary of the Canadian International Trade Tribunal and its predecessor, this webinar will be drawing additional cases from the National Tendering Law Update 2014 Spring-Summer Special CITT Edition that shaped Canada’s federal procurement system and set the standard for trade treaty compliance across all Canadian public sector institutions. Topics covered in this second installment will include: (i) the duty to disclose evaluation criteria under the trade treaties; (ii) treaty-based debriefing duties; (iii) tender compliance under the trade treaties; (iv) treaty-based fair competition duties including the use of evaluation guides, maintaining evaluation records, dealing with conflict of interest, biased specifications and sole-sourcing.
